We want to be completely open and honest with you because that reflects the relationship we want with each of you.
When we signed and returned our agreement, we believed wholeheartedly that we had secured our Crestview Hills location. Full of excitement, we moved forward with offering spaces to our shop owners.
After not hearing back from the landlord, we reached out and received news that truly broke our hearts. Another retailer had come in with a substantially higher offer and stronger credit. We didn't walk away. We countered with the exact same dollar amount per square foot, because we believe in this store, in each of you, and in this community.
We are waiting to hear back on Monday.
We are sincerely sorry for the worry and uncertainty this has caused. You trusted us, and we don't take that lightly. We are not giving up.
Our promise: if we do not secure this location, every shop owner who has paid will receive a full and immediate refund — no delays, no hassle, no questions asked.
Thank you for your patience and your grace. We will update you the moment we know more.
With gratitude and determination,
The Collective Boutiques
As of Monday night, we still have not heard back from the landlord. Our offer is still out there, and we are still holding onto hope. But sitting here waiting while you wonder about your money just doesn't feel right to us.
So, we have started issuing refunds. Not because we have given up, but because you trusted us and you deserve to have that money back in your hands while we wait. No Shop Owner should have to chase us for that.
We are heartbroken over how this has unfolded. This store, this community, and each of you as shop owners mean so much. We were so excited about what we were going to be building together, and maybe we still can.
If we hear anything, and we are still praying we do, you will be the first to know.
Thank you for being so gracious through all of this. It means more than you know.
Respectfully,
The Collective Boutiques
